Wargasm is a British electro-rock duo from London. Formed in 2018 by musician Sam Matlock and model Milkie Way, they have released 11 solo singles and four collab singles. Having earned praise from Alternative Press and NME they are a force to be reckoned with. Their debut full-length release, Explicit: The Mixxxtape, was released on September 9, 2022.
Having the pleasure of sitting in on their 1824 conference I learned about their passion and the recent opening of the Limp Biscuit tour. Wargasm states they were born in the lockdown and grew up online. When they were asked what is more to come of the band, Way stated "More sex, more violence, good collaborations", which is exciting for Wargasm fans everywhere.
When Wargasm talked about opening sets vs headline sets they spoke of their routines. Milky talked about yoga and not drinking for openers. While Sam gave insight on how they structure their sets: openings usually have all the fast stuff together while headliners are more for lulls and gaps of energy. Milky stated, "Openers are to sprints as headliners are to marathons".
Wargasm's message while performing existing on stage can send a message to those who haven't seen representation before. As well as showing this diversity and representation on stage with their band. They are a " cathartic release for what people are seeing in the world".
Check out Wargasm and their new mixtape : Explicit: The Mixxxtape. Also a Big thank you to Wargasm and 1824 for this opportunity.
