The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Carolina Hurricanes for their first home preseason game on Saturday night at Benchmark International Arena.


Tampa Bay's balanced scoring and steady goaltending set the tone for their third exhibition game, first in front of their home crowd, while Carolina struggled to close the gap in the game until the third.
