Montréal Victoire closed out the regular season with a dramatic 2–1 shootout win over the Seattle Torrent at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA on April 25, 2026.

A lot was on the line, as the fates of both teams were in each club's hands. For Montreal, the Victoire clinched the #1 overall team, now able to choose their opponent for the first round of the Walter Cup Playoffs.

As for Seattle, any win would have given them "Golden Rule" points, but unfortunately, their loss cost them the 1st overall pick in the 2026-27 PWHL Draft.

A back-and-forth defensive (and penalty-filled) game ended in a 6-round shootout Montreal win, sealing each team's fate.
