The Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 5-1 in a Thursday night matchup at the Lenovo Center.

Despite a goal in the first period by the Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis to put them on the board, the Hurricanes were unable to generate following the early goal. The Maple Leafs' goaltender, Joseph Woll, held on until the very end to secure the win.
